Installation

  • In Norbit Chat, navigate to Settings > Business Messages > Synchronization.

  • In the "Client token" field, enter a random string and save the changes.

  • Open the Business Communications Console by visiting https://business-communications.cloud.google.com and sign in using your Business Messages Google account.

  • Click on "Partner account settings" at the top of the page.

  • Configure the Webhook by entering the Webhook URL and the Client token you copied earlier from Norbit Chat > Settings > Business Messages > Synchronization. Save the changes.

  • Go back to the Business Communications Console (https://business-communications.cloud.google.com) and open your partner account.

  • From the left menu, select "Service account" and create a new key. Download the key and open it with a text editor like Notepad.

  • Copy the values of "private_key" and "client_email" from the downloaded key file.

  • Paste the copied values into the corresponding fields in Norbit Chat > Settings > Business Messages > Synchronization.

  • To test your agent, visit https://business-communications.cloud.google.com/console, click on your brand to enter the brand Overview area.

  • Under "Agent information," find "Agent test URLs" and click on the button suitable for your mobile device. Open the link from your mobile device to test the agent.

  • To create a live agent for a real location on Google Maps, go to your partner account in the Business Communications Console.

  • Create a new agent and add Google Maps locations by selecting "Locations" from the left menu.

  • Complete all the required information prompts for the agent.

  • Finally, verify and launch the agent by selecting "Verify" and then "Launch" from the left menu.
