Installation
Go to the admin area of Norbit Chat by accessing the provided URL.
Once logged in, navigate to the Settings section and click on "Apps."
From the Apps section, select "Telegram" to configure the integration with Telegram.
In the Telegram settings, find the field labeled "Envato purchase code" and enter your Envato purchase code if applicable. This step is required to install and activate the Norbit Chat app. Note that if you are using the cloud version of Norbit Chat, the app is already active, and you can skip this step.
To create or access your Telegram bot, visit the following URL: https://t.me/botfather.
If you have previously created a Telegram bot, type the command "/mybots" in the BotFather chat and select your bot to proceed. Then, click on "API token" to retrieve the authentication token.
In case you haven't created a Telegram bot before, use the command "/newbot" in the BotFather chat to create a new bot. Follow the prompts by providing a name and username for your bot. The BotFather will generate an authentication token for you. For more detailed instructions, refer to the official Telegram documentation at https://core.telegram.org/bots.
Copy the generated authentication token for your Telegram bot.
Return to the Norbit Chat admin area and navigate to the Telegram settings again.
Locate the field labeled "Token" and paste the copied authentication token.
Click on "Synchronize now" to establish the connection between Norbit Chat and your Telegram bot.
Ensure that your website has an SSL certificate (HTTPS) as it is required for proper functionality. Norbit Chat does not support HTTP.
Congratulations! You have successfully completed the setup process. All messages sent to your Telegram bot will now appear in the conversation admin area of Norbit Chat.
